Formal Requirements

Valid passport (valid for six months as from date of departure). No visa required for stays not exceeding 3 months.

International driving license required.

Health Requirements and Vaccines

No vaccine is mandatory to visit Argentina.
However, it is advisable to keep your vaccination schedule updated (tetanus, poliomyelitis, diphtheria, hepatitis).


Health Risks and Preventive Measures

Have only cooked food and bottled drinks. Take repellent lotion.

Be careful with altitude sickness especially in the Salta/Jujuy region. We suggest having a light meal the night before and increasing height slowly. Avoid drinking alcohol, smoking or running. In the event of headache or other symptoms, consult a local physician or pharmacy.

When to go ?

Since Argentina is located in the southern hemisphere, seasons do not coincide with seasons in France.
If you wish to visit Patagonia and South Andes, choose December and February. Winter is the best season to visit north or northwestern Argentina as it is not a rainy season. October to April is definitely the best time to visit Buenos Aires.
